Wether you want an apartment of an exclusive villa, Primošten is an excellent choice for a fabulous vacation.

Central part of Dalmatia is full of beautiful and interesting destinations, with Split and Šibenik as two biggest cities in this region. Smaller towns and places are also very attractive for spending holiday - they offer peace and quiet but are still close enough to the bigger towns which can then be visited in a form of a daily trip. One of such small but charming towns is Primošten, located in Šibenik-Knin county at one of the most beautiful parts of Adriatic coast.

Primošten is located on a small peninsula and the view of it resembles the one of Rovinj in Istria. In the past it was actually an islet that was then connected with the mainland by a bridge and later by a causeway which turned it into a peninsula. It takes 30 minutes by car or bus to reach it from Šibenik, and one hour to reach it from Split. This geographic position makes Primošten ideal for spending relaxed and quiet vacation, and if you wish to visit bigger cities, a daily trip to Šibenik, Zadar or Split is an excellent opportunity to see those popular city destinations in Croatia. For those who prefer spending time in nature, Primošten is also a great starting point for trips to National park Kornati, Krka or Plitvice lakes, as well as Nature Parks Telašćica and Vransko lake.

Prior to tourism and its development, Primošten was a small place whose inhabitants primarily engaged in agriculture and fishing. Reminder of those times are the famous vineyards on Bucavac Veliki hill that descend towards the sea in a form of terraces. The vineyards are placed on UNESCO tangible heritage list, and a photo of them stands at the UN headquarters in New York. Famous Kremik marina is located there as well. During the mid 20th century, Primošten started to develop as a tourist destination, whose greatest rise in popularity and accommodation capacity happened in the seventies. Since then, Primošten managed not only to keep its position as a top tourist destination, but to set an example to others as well.

Being top destination means that Primošten has, of course, excellent accommodation offer, whether you wish to book a hotel, stay at an apartment or spend your holiday in luxury villa with swimming pool. In Primošten, there is really plenty to choose from in terms of property rentals: old town on the peninsula features lovely old stone houses where one can rent an apartment or a villa built in traditional Dalmatian style, while the part of town located on the mainland offers modern hotels and houses.

Primošten is also known for its crystal clear sea and beautiful beaches. There are small ones, hidden ones, big ones, etc. The most famous one is Mala Raduča beach with pebbles, known as one of the most beautiful Adriatic beaches, with pine trees creating the perfect backdrop and providing shade when the sun is high.

All of the above make Primošten an exceptional destination for summer holidays so if you do decide to come there, be prepared to have great time, taste some excellent food and wine, and swim at one of the best beaches in Croatia.
