Your stay in Villa Compass House

The beautiful stone villa Compass House is located on the island of Ugljan, one of the most beautiful islands in Zadar archipelago. This picturesque area is the perfect vacation spot for nature lovers and those who long for true vacation and relaxation. The villa is located in the small village of Ugljan, in the northern part of the island and will charm you in a traditional Dalmatian atmosphere.

The Villa Compass House was built in Dalmatian rustic style and is completely enclosed. On the ground floor there is a spacious living room with satellite TV and small fireplace, a large balcony door leads directly to the courtyard by the pool. In the sun-drenched, stylishly furnished kitchen you will find all the necessary equipment to prepare your favorite delicacies for your family and friends. The dining room is part of the kitchen and has access to a beautiful covered terrace. It is located directly in front of the pool where you can relax at any time of the day and have breakfast or enjoy the sunset in the evening. Upstairs there are three comfortable bedrooms, two with king-size beds and one room with two single beds. The master bedroom also has an En-suite bathroom with shower. There are two more bathrooms in the villa, one of which is upstairs next to the rooms, the other in the basement.

In the inner courtyard of the villa you can sunbathe and relax by the 11 x 4 m heated pool with massage area. You can spend a pleasant evening with your loved ones preparing delicacies on the outdoor grill imported from South Africa that is built into the terrace. Children can play on the green area in the garden.

The island of Ugljan offers you many opportunities to explore beautiful bays and even hike to the nearby St. Mihovils hill. There are various amenities on the island, from shops, restaurants and bars to bike rentals and boat trips to the neighboring islands or the Kornati National Park. A good connection with the mainland and the city of Zadar allows you to explore the mainland and the surrounding area as well.

Howard and Linda’s house is absolutely stunning and immaculately clean and the beds are so comfortable. Only a couple of minutes walk to local buses that run all over the island and a few minutes walk to the beaches and town. The island is just lovely. A much slower pace of life, which we made the most of. Howard has compiled a book with all the local information on buses, ferries, trips, restaurants etc. He also messaged us with extra information, a very considerate host.

Wir waren Anfang September zu sechst und Hund für eine Woche in Ugljan . Das Haus ist wunder schön, hat allen erdenklichen Komfort und ist bis ins Detail ausgestattet. Es ist super sauber und der Pool ist das absolute highlight an dem man gern den Tag verbringt. Wir hatten viel Erholung und Spaß !! Die Lage war für uns perfekt. Strand / Bars/ Restaurants / Einkaufmöglichkeit alles innerhalb 5 min zu Fuß zu erreichen. Trotzdem sehr ruhig gelegen und der Hund hat sich über den Garten und Auslaufmöglichkeit direkt hinter dem Haus tierisch gefreut. Das Haus von Howard ist absolut zu empfehlen !! There were six of us and our dog in Ugljan for a week at the beginning of September. The house is beautiful, has every imaginable comfort and is equipped down to the last detail. It's super clean and the pool is the absolute highlight where you like to spend the day. We had a lot of relaxation and fun! The location was perfect for us. Beach / bars / restaurants / shops can all be reached within 5 minutes on foot. Nevertheless, it was very quiet and the dog was really happy about the garden and the opportunity to run outside directly behind the house. Howard's house is highly recommended !!

We can truly recommend this accommodation, our host Howard welcomed us when we arrived and explained everything, he left us a lot of food, even wine and this was a nice start into our vacation. Howard is a very friendly and helpful guy and we could always contact him. And there is also Danjiel who manages everything when Howard is not in Croatia and he is also very nice and helpful. We surely want to come back.
