Privacy Notice and Cookies

This privacy notice explains how ADRIA LUXURY RENT d.o.o (part of the Awaze group), with its registered office in Zadar, Andrije Hebranga 12, OIB 27401257007 (hereafter ‘we’, ‘us’ our ‘our), processes your personal data.

We keep our privacy notice under review and updated versions will be available on our website.

1. What data do we collect and why?

The type of data we process and why will depend on the type of interaction we have with you and the service we provide to you, as detailed below.

Bookings
We use this information to process your reservation request, including processing payment for your stay, issuing any refunds you may be entitled to, sending service messages and processing any queries or claims regarding your reservation. Name, contact details, date of birth, place of birth and residence, citizenship, PIN and personal document data (e.g. passport, identity card), payment data.

We will collect this information directly from you, those travelling in your party or a third party you have booked through.

The provision of this information is a contractual requirement to make a booking and if you do not provide us with it, then we may not be able to provide the service.

Lettings
We use this information to manage lettings, including entering into a contract with you, processing reservations made for your property, paying you, sending service messages and processing any queries or claims regarding lettings. Name, contact details, ate of birth, place of birth and residence, citizenship, PIN and personal document data (e.g. passport, identity card), payment data.

We will collect this information directly from you or someone who has referred you to us.

The provision of this information is a contractual requirement to let your property and if you do not provide us with it, then we may not be able to provide the service.

2. Transfer of your personal data

We are part of the Awaze group of companies and your personal data may be shared with any group company and its employees and service providers.

Depending on your interaction with us, we will also share some personal data with third parties for the purpose of providing quality and timely service, including:

  • The owner(s) or manager(s) of the holiday facilities you have chosen so that you can be provided with a residence service;
  • The guests of your holiday facilities, so they can contact you about their stay and, where applicable, pay any money owed to you directly;
  • Third party service providers that process personal data on our behalf to effectively fulfil the requested service, or deliver products and packages, such as IT service providers and web hosting and support. Such service providers may only use personal data under our instructions.
  • Third party service providers who process personal data as a controller in their own right for agreed purposes, such as payment services providers, booking partners, marketing providers, legal advisors and bankers. Such service providers must use your personal data in accordance with the law and you can read their privacy notices for further details;
  • To third parties and public bodies, (i) to comply with laws or regulations, (ii) to comply with a mandatory instruction or order of a public body, (iii) to prevent and / or report abusive and illegal activities , (iv) to protect the rights and personal safety of our employees; or (v) if required by lawsuits and other legal requirements;
  • To all other persons in respect of whom we have received your express consent for personal data exchange;
  • in the event of a change in the organisation (eg merger, acquisition, separation, etc.) your personal data may be transferred to another legal entity.

3. Your data and third countries

Depending on your interaction with us, we may need to share your personal data outside of the European Union (EU). We only do this where we are satisfied that there are appropriate measures in place to protect your data and one of the following transfer mechanisms applies:

  • An adequacy decision
  • Standard contractual clauses
  • It is necessary for contractual purposes e.g. if the owner of the facility you reserved is located outside of the EU, we will need to send your data there

4. How long we keep your data

We will not keep your data longer than is necessary. Our retention periods vary depending on the purpose for which it was collected and any statutory or legal requirements. For example, accounting records must be kept for a minimum of 10 years.

5. Children

Our services are not intended for children under 16 years of age. However, in some cases, it is necessary to process the data of children staying in the selected facility. We will only process this information if it is provided by, or with the consent of, a parent, legal representative or guardian. If we learn that we are processing data about a child under the age of 16 without such consent, we will delete it.

6. Your rights

In certain circumstances, you have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Right of access - you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, along with additional information about how we process it;
  • Right to rectification - you can request the correction of your personal data where you believe it is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • Right to erasure (right to be forgotten) - you can request that we delete your personal data in some circumstances;
  • Right to restriction - you can request that we restrict how we process your personal data in some circumstances;
  • Right to data portability - you can request that we transfer your personal data either directly to you or another controller in some circumstances;
  • Right to object - you can object to us using your personal data for direct marketing purposes and, in some circumstances, for other purposes where we rely on legitimate interests;
  • Right to withdraw consent - if we rely on your consent to process data, you can withdraw your consent at any time;

If you wish to exercise any of your rights, please contact using the information in the section 8. To process your request, we may need to confirm your identity. If your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act upon it.

Like most websites, we use cookies and other similar technologies (collectively referred to as cookies). Cookies help make the website work optimally and enable us to make improvements to the site to improve your browsing experience, for example to navigate the website efficiently and remember your language settings.
