Your stay in Villa Ana

Villa Ana is located on the island of Hvar, in the romantic town of Jelsa, 9 km from the Old Town and 25 km from the town of Hvar. Jelsa is an ideal place to escape, for people who love nature, healthy living and good food. The villa is located in a tranquil place, just a few metres from the beach and the sea. It is located on a beautiful plot of 1100 m2 and offers 260 m2 of interior space. You can enjoy complete privacy. We especially recommend a relaxing walk by the sea in the picturesque village of Vrboska, 3 km or to the centre of Jelsa. Luxuriously furnished villa with spacy interior boasts a modern kitchen with a large living room, five fully equipped bedrooms with ensuite bathroom, LCD TV and air conditioning. One room is the master bedroom and has a bathroom that is equipped with a shower and bath. All rooms are decorated and furnished with the best materials. On the ground floor there is a small toilet. Villa Ana can accommodate 10 people. You can use the indoor barbecue area with friends and family. A magnificent view of the sea and islands extends from the pool (24m2) with an integrated jacuzzi. The villa has a private bay with landscaped access to the sea. There is a private berth in front of the villa. There is a pebble beach suitable for young children 100 metres away. The fun corner of the villa consists of table tennis, football and the PlayStation 4, and for those who love recreation we provide six bikes that are free and always available. The island of Hvar also offers many nightclubs for those who are into clubbing. With a good ferry and catamaran connection, we are also pleased to offer a connection from Jelsa to Split by seaplane at an affordable price, 15 minutes flight and 4 times a day.

What an amazing location, villa, pool and grounds! As discerning travelers with a young child, we couldn't have been more impressed. Beautiful kitchen, elegant furniture and comfortable bedrooms. Mihaela was helpful and kind. Perfection.

What a brilliant place to stay! Beautiful villa, spotlessly clean, everything looked brand new. Details were accurate as regards advertised description. We arrived earlier than expected and were able to leave our bags inside and sit round the pool until the cleaners finished, for which we were very grateful. Mihaela was very friendly & helpful and gave us her mobile number to call if we needed help. She even booked our return taxi for us which we appreciated. The location couldn't be imp......

We had a wonderful stay at villa Ana. The villa was fabulous, well furnished and decorated. The artwork was stunning. - but most of all the views from inside the villa and its private garden are priceless. We all agreed we must return next year as its the perfect chill out location.

My friends & I have just enjoyed the most amazing week in Villa Ana on Hvar Island. It’s location just outside of Jelsa is a perfect balance of peace & tranquility, whilst it’s only a 1km walk (mostly along a waterfront pathway) into the restaurants & bars surrounding Jelsa harbour-side. You never tire of waking up to the view across the bay - simply stunning! Inside, four of the five bedrooms are large & enjoy sea views, but one is smaller & located at the front......

We have just returned from two amazing weeks in the Lovely Villa Ana. I spent the last 11 months worrying it that it wouldn’t be as good as it looked but it was better! The views were really this stunning every day and the gorgeous pink sunset light was breathtaking. We didn’t use the telescope but did enjoy lying in the garden watching the stars. Firstly the accommodation. Rooms are all generously proportioned and four of the five bedrooms have fabulous sea and garden views. Bedroom......

Mostly good - but could be better
The pros: We mostly had a good experience. House is large and interior design is very tasteful. A lot of books left by previous visitors. Garden is amazing: lots of shade, tasteful landscaping, a lot of space to relax. Beach is just a few meters away. Jelsa is a great little town with really good restaurants. The lady that welcomed us was friendly. The cons: The kitchen was not entirely clean - lots of smudges on the cabinets, and the floor felt a bit dirty. We did not complain, since we did not want anyone to come and clean while we were there. Some of the garden cushions were dirty as well, and the outdoor kitchen didn't feel very clean either. We actually never used it for that reason. We are used to some kind of personal info from the owners: recommendations for restaurants, excursions, etc. This was not provided, and made the stay feel quite impersonal. We are also used to some basic amenities being provided (especially at that price range): bin bags, kitchen rolls, laundry detergent, etc. Small, inexpensive things that make a very big difference. There was no frying pan. The SUP lacked a fin, but that was quickly taken care of. All in all: this villa could be truly amazing with a bit of attention to small details.

Villa Ana - simply perfect
Villa Ana is an absolutely stunning property in a excellent location. Easy walking into Jelsa in one direction and Vrboska in the other. Both towns are pretty with lots of options for eating out. Large supermarket a 5 minute drive away. Bikes at the property great for getting around locally but also allowed my partner who was preparing for the London100 to keep training. The villa is spacious with good bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Views are simply stunning and the location was very peaceful. We were a group of 8 friends and family visiting in mid-May. Mihaela who is the local contact for Villa Ana was extremely accommodating, friendly and available by phone if needed. I would highly recommend Villa Ana and we plan to return.

Fabulous Villa
We have just returned from two amazing weeks in the Lovely Villa Ana. I spent the last 11 months worrying it that it wouldn’t be as good as it looked but it was better! The views were really this stunning every day and the gorgeous pink sunset light was breathtaking. We didn’t use the telescope but did enjoy lying in the garden watching the stars. Firstly the accommodation. Rooms are all generously proportioned and four of the five bedrooms have fabulous sea and garden views. Bedroom five is a small double but still en-suite. We were there as an extended family group and so this worked absolutely fine, if you were going as friends / couples you’d need to think about this. The beds were very comfortable and good supply of beach and bath towels. The inside living space is big and well equipped although with wall to wall sunshine we didn’t really use it. Outside patio and gardens are stunning - lovely big table for lunches and suppers al fresco. The “bed / lounger” half way down the garden was used loads especially for a bit of time sleeping in the shade. Both the inside and outside kitchen were really very well equipped. Lots and lots of crockery and glasses etc, but also a kitchen equipped for actually cooking, with proper utensils, sharp knives, serving dishes etc. We were really very impressed. The fridge freezer is ample size for the villa and there is a smaller outside fridge. The pool is on the smaller side but given the vicinity of the sea it was used more for sitting and chatting / cooling down then much activity and was absolutely fine for this. Our group loved the table tennis and canoes and made good use of these and the bikes. Great to have life jackets etc all to hand. Worth taking sea shoes with you - the rocks getting into the sea are a bit slimey - also readily available in any of the shops. The local area is fantastic with a short walk / cycle (10-15mins) into the stunningly beautiful harbour town Jelsa. There are easily enough bars and restaurants as well as several supermarkets, butchers etc. All the local produce we had was not only great quality but great value as were meals out. Some real gems if you head back from the sea front. Probably the biggest surprise to us was the extent of the local wine production and we enjoyed a wide variety of great quality locally produced wine. A short cycle ride away is Vbrosnik (10-15min cycle) which is very different, a bit smaller but well worth a visit. We also drove into Stari Grad which again has a slightly different vibe but well equipped and worth a visit. We loved the low key feel to all these places. We had a car with us which made trips out very easy, but also found local taxi’s easy to get hold of and good value. All the ferry and catamaran services we used were efficient and reliable and very reasonably priced. The service we had from Michaela and the team was exceptional. Friendly, helpful, always on time and always going out of their way to make sure we had the best holiday; couldn’t have asked for more.

Simply Stunning
My friends & I have just enjoyed the most amazing week in Villa Ana on Hvar Island. It’s location just outside of Jelsa is a perfect balance of peace & tranquility, whilst it’s only a 1km walk (mostly along a waterfront pathway) into the restaurants & bars surrounding Jelsa harbour-side. You never tire of waking up to the view across the bay - simply stunning! Inside, four of the five bedrooms are large & enjoy sea views, but one is smaller & located at the front of the property. On the plus side they all have modern en-suite bathrooms. There is a large open plan kitchen/lounge which is well equipped, plus a further outside kitchen/bbq area. Plenty of tables & chairs so you can choose to dine inside or alfresco on the terrace. The villa is one of only a handful along this stretch of road that back down directly to the sea - you simply step out of the garden gate & pick your short scramble over the rocks into the calm & beautifully warm sea. They have two sea kayaks moored up for your use & there is great snorkelling along this stretch of coastline. Back in the villa, there is a small outside pool, table football, PlayStation & a table tennis table to keep you entertained. They also have 6 good quality bikes which you can use to cycle down into Jelsa or nearby Vbroska. One tiny criticism is that there isn’t enough loungers/sun-beds (only 4 at present) & hopefully this is on the owners agenda. In summary this is a beautiful modern villa, tastefully furnished with a killer location - we can’t wait to return!!

Absolutely Stunning - even better than the photos!
The location couldn't be improved upon, right on the water's edge! The sea is so clear you can see the bottom! We swam in it every day and actually didn't use the pool much, though a man came twice to clean it. We bought snorkels & flippers and spent hours in the sea which wasn't cold. We would definitely recommend Villa Ana to others; our lads wanted to live there! We loved being so close to Jelsa and Vrboska & ate out every night in different restaurants - all of them good. There was an open air concert in the square on our 1st night which was great as we ate our meal listening to the music. The ice creams are amazing! We bought fresh bread from the bakery at the end of Jelsa harbour and it was good having the bikes to pop down to the town. We hired 2 more as we were a family of 8. There were only 2 locks & 2 lights between us but we managed OK. Cycling is fine with so few cars & with drivers who allow for cyclists. We hired 2 small boats one day and had a great time sailing round the nearest island, easy, even though we're not sailors, as the water is so calm. Another day we hired 2 VW open-topped Beetles and drove to Hvar town. Was great fun and the town is lovely but our shore was better than Hvar beach! There were 2 storms during our week but 1 was overnight and the other passed quickly. Actually we enjoyed having an excuse for just relaxing round the villa for a day. There was a problem with one of the bathrooms but I texted Mihaela & she sent a plumber round that same day. Anyway it didn't matter as there are en suites on each bedroom plus a cloakroom. The only thing missing was a kettle. Overall our holiday was fantastic and we would like to thank both Mihaela and the owner for a lovely time.
